Rocking and Rolling
I did it…. I finally managed to use my Christmas present for the purpose it was intended for and as a result my winter (and today it is winter) training has started. Once I had managed to let go of the wall and convinced myself that the beanbags were close enough in the event I fell off, I managed to spin out between 170 and 320 (mainly about 245) watts for about 30 minutes. I had to stop as the concentration levels were starting to wane and I was beginning to wobble about like a jelly on a spin dryer or a drunk Bambi on roller skates. Tomorrow I shall have another go in an attempt to reach 40 minutes and slightly more power.
I bumped into Wilier BigMaggys.com Prendas team rider Chris Spence today. He has just got back from South Africa and is looking both tanned and a little pink (more sunscreen next time). He is looking forward to the start of the race season and the imminent arrival of his Wilier bikes. Moffs & I know how that feels – to look forward to a Wilier delivery not the start of a race season.
Family Moffa were at large in the café today. Moffa snr was hanging the first of the wallpaper whilst Moffa Jnrs were digging drainage channels in the ground floor. Upstairs is taking shape and we hope to have it done by next week but downstairs is still a dusty mess. Nick Knowles where are you?
