Home Alone

I have been left home alone on two counts but thankfully not in the ‘dangerous’ situations that the little twerp Macauley Culkin found himself. I have managed to avoid putting myself in that kind of danger by letting my co director of Big Maggys do the swimming with sharks and testing of his new argon18 around the back streets of South Africa. On the other count of home aloneliness, my wife has decided to pack her winter cycling gear in a big bag (or two – one for the hairdryer) and head off to the snowier climate of Majorca for a weeks training with Messrs McClelland, Whiteside & Pallot Brown.
So, Big Maggys has been left to be tidied up and sorted out in a week. A big task? Not really, chippy In already and sparky & plumber (Marco) supposed to be in and done by Tuesday. Bike racks version 3 to be prototyped by Wednesday and workshop kitted out by Thursday. Moffs back on Friday??? to sort out the attic.
The weekend was busy on saturday but we still managed to watch both cycling races, Grand Prix qualifying and part of the rugby. Sunday was less busy but still productive with the agreed sale of some Italian wheels and a new Canadian TT bike setup for an exciting youngster.
We have had reports from both South Africa and Majorca. You will be pleased to know that thouperMoffs still lives even though he had three punctures and a lot of wind, and the snow in Majorca is as cold as it is in Jersey, – so much for warm weather winter training.
S’all for now. More later in the week.
