Evolution…

Well another season in Jersey is over. The JCA Hill Climb Champs attracted 27 riders this year, of which I was one. Every year I struggle with the concept of warming up for a Hill Climb. I just can’t being myself to do it for an event I don’t care for much. Although, in reality it was an important event for me as I must beat a certain rival in the Ultimate event on the calendar. You see, technically a Hill Climb is a Time Trial rite? Not according to a certain Irish rival of mine. So to cut a long story short, I successfully defeated him in his own back time trial yard … Again. And the rest doesn’t matter i.e. Where you finish overall etc. All that matters sometimes is a roadie beating a time trial specialist. It counts!

On a more important note, I got beaten by a certain Ryan O’Shea who is looking leaner in every race! I think it’s normal now to get beaten by the Academy kids though, I’m at peace with it – well done to Olly Turner, Olly Lowthorpe, Ben Le Brocq, Charlotte Turner and little Jack Lutz. Brave kids all of them tackling Boulay Bay Hill Climb.
