Coffee and Cycling

There’s this thing that’s been going on for a while with a mate, a sort of plan to start a coffee shop. it’s been borne out of nothing more than the fact that the service isn’t mind blowing wherever we go as a group of cyclists. Usually despite going to the same places week in week out, they always seem surprised to see us for some reason. Or they haven’t got enough mugs… I’m no expert (yet) but I assume if you have covers in a restaurant or cafe for 40 people, then you ensure you have at least 40 mugs available – rite? maybe not…

So I battled with the idea for ages and wasnt sure whether I could fit it into general day to day life as I have enough on my plate with iConsult and cycling and hardly have any time available. However, seeing as I spend so much time in cycling mode and coffee shop mode anyway and when at work, I still seem to spend bundles of time in coffee shops, I think why not just open one and spend my time there – this way if the service is crap, I can only blame myself! Hmm…

So trying to think of some possible names for a coffee shop.. most original ones are gone. Lance called his new bike shop Mellow Johnny’s which is cool – no idea what that means or why etc but it sounds funky.

Maybe ‘Tired Tonys’ or ‘Hungry Moffa’s’ …. one thing is for sure, we will be selling damn good baguette’s!
