A hole in the Road

Ted from Equipe rang to arrange a meeting this morning to go over the plans for the counter unit. This time he got it right and Moffs & I gave him the nod to start on it as quickly as possible. During the following cuppa and catch up we were interupted by Marco to fill some paperwork and take it, with a payment card, to the Water People on the top of Westmount hill otherwise we wouldn’t be getting any water on site anytime soon and the plumbing would be held up by another week. Off I toddle to with the incorrect forms (how many swimming pools of what size are on the property!!!!??) filled out to the best of my ability in the wrong colour ink (MUST be black) to the water people (another bunch of ‘Customer Friendly’ people – must be why they were stuck on top of a hill away from town) so they could spend 15 minutes trying to my credit card to work in their machine to relieve me/us of £3000.!!! Three THOUSAND pounds. All they have to do is Dig a fricking hole in the road and extend it to the pavement. Approximately four foot of digging and then it is down to us to get it to, and inside, the property. I think I might just turn the upstairs into a 24hour hot-tub bubble-bath party venue and put the bikes elsewhere. In the words of Catherine Tate – ‘What a Liberty’, that is daylight fricking robbery, for a hole! The monopoly of a states run business. Calming thoughts………. otherwise I might write something that will offend.
